Welcome to my e-folio! My name is Robert Rivera. I recently graduated from Augsburg College with B.A in History. I will be receiving my licensure in (5-12) Social Studies in spring of 2008. I am fluent in Spanish and very skilled with computers. I am very passionate about teaching, especially in the inner city. I was born in Nicaragua but I grew up in Los Angeles and understand the struggles of inner city students. I am enthusiastic about working with students and I am a committed supporter of higher education. I like a challenge and enjoy over coming obstacles. My experience in the military gives me an acute attention to detail and determination to rise above all difficulty students might face. My personal motto is to facilitate the student learning by making the classroom a safe and respectful place to voice their opinions. |
